Man with hands behind back and in this demonstration notice that I am
holding
the pencil nearly at the end of the pencil, in this way you are not really
in control of your pencil lines, not accurately anyway. What this does is
that it gives you the freedom of line and makes you draw like you have never
drawn before.

The man is looking away from us here so you only see the back of his ear
and here the pencil goes over lines that I have already made and some of
these lines are made
darker.

More of the body is added here and you can see that this man is quite
portly. Notice here I'm holding the pencil like I would a pen now that most
of the figure has been put in..

Now I'm starting to put in darks wherever I see them and still drawing
quite loosely here.

Form is added, sometimes with diagonal shading and sometimes with the
pencil going in the direction of the form. Little squiggles actually
describe the ribcage here.

Form is added to his arm by using diagonal shading.
