Sketching a face and here I started off with no preliminary lines
but just sketching straight off with what I saw and I usually start off with the eyes or some other predominant feature.
Whatever
catches your eye in drawing a person is best and go there straight away with
your pencil. Try not to take your pencil off the paper and move all over the
subject wherever it takes you.
Darker tones are added to the features to bring them out more than the rest of the sketch.
For the first time shading is added here but not too much, only add shading to bring certain areas out. Shading was added to the temple and cheek because I wanted to bring these areas out to us more than the rest of the face.
The ear was roughly drawn in with some shading added behind it, a quick sketch that took a few minutes to do.
