Before his rising as a superstar, Robbie
Williams used to hang around 1996 with the Gallagher brothers - Noel and Liam of
then-famous Britpop stars Oasis. Robbie expected to get some
Noel-written songs so he could start a career. After few months with
cocaine-fueled parties the loud-mouthed brothers showed him the door.
Robbie Williams
quit take that in 1995. His increasing drug use had led to a
near-overdose before a performance at the MTV Europe Awards show. After
leaving the band, Robbie Williams was frequently photographed out
partying with members of Oasis, especially Liam Gallagher and Noel
Gallagher. He even attended Glastonbury Festival with them that year.
Since then Robbie has established himself as the biggest solo
artist in the UK with massive selling albums Swing When You're Winning
and Sing When You're Winning. He is such a valuable commodity that EMI
offended him new contract in 2002 worth an astonishing £80m.
