Painting into drawing a portrait the finishing stages in this painting into drawing a portrait
Here we have darkened everything even further corresponding with the original painting and here half closing your eyes helps in seeing these tones, both light, middle and dark tones.
Completing the entire portrait now and seeing that the structure of the portrait is correct and finishing the shading in the background and foreground and observing what's happening in these areas.
Here we bring the right arm out more by putting in the creases and folds and shading in these parts, I have also defined the whole portrait more by keeping everything going at the same pace.
Here we have the finished portrait of the Mona Lisa and everything has been more defined and finished to a more detailed portrait. The foreground has been made darker and if you look in the previous example the overhaul tone is like a middle to dark tone and in this example we have darkened the foreground so that it makes the hands stand out more. Can you see that the bottom half of the portrait is darker than the top half, hence we get a balance of light and dark, the light tone in the top half brings us to her face. We hope you have enjoyed this Mona Lisa tutorial.
