Painting backgrounds and can you see how much variety there is in this  background,
always make use of what you see in backgrounds whether it is a chair, a
colour or a window.
A bit more form has been added all over the face area and certain areas softened especially in the background.
A close up of the portrait and I think it shows good colour and freshness and if I had painted in the actual eyes and pupils etc I think the effect of light would have been lost here.
