Painting a sweater and if you get a complicated pattern in a sweater then you need to simplify and don't put everything in all but the main shapes and forms.

The finishing stages here and in go the highlights of the eyes and it is best if you can get them in first time but if you cant just go over the highlight with the underlying colour of the eyes.

The finished portrait, the warm background goes well with the boy's hair and it also contrasts with the sweater.
