| | | Pablo Picasso a short history of the Pablo Picasso | The Spanish artist Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) was the son of a drawing master and had been something of an infant prodigy in the Barcelona art school. At the age of nineteen he had come to Paris where he painted subjects that would have pleased the expressionists: Beggars, outcasts, strollers and circus people.
