Optimizing your site for search engines and as said earlier it is a very competitive market so you need to perceiver and never give up your goal which is to get on the first page of search engines. The most important search engine to be on is Google so you need to put in a lot of hard work and to try different ways and means to get there.
 

Firstly search engines use an index machine that crawls all websites looking for certain keywords on your website, so if your website is about pencil art which is what search engines would call a keyword then this is what you want the crawler to find on your website. Your homepage (index) needs to show that it is about pencil art or whatever your page is about so the word pencil art needs to be on your homepage in natural wording.


You cant use this same keyword loads of times on your homepage as this would be called spamming by search engines so you should only use it around four or five times on the page in natural phrases. Your keyword pencil art should only be used on that one page, you can have the word pencil or art on other pages but not pencil art as this is unique to the homepage you have built and otherwise would be called spamming by search engines.
