Nude
painting and in this demonstration the nude is in a side on view and after
the drawing in stage which isn't in any detail
because after all it is a
watercolour we are painting so we don't want a detailed drawing. I first
started off by painting in some of the background because here I want a nice
soft transition from background and hair.
While
the background wash was still wet I start to paint in the hair using burnt
sienna and a touch of ultramarine blue.
Other
colours go in, raw sienna and an almost burnt burnt sienna. the ear and side
of the face go in with cadmium red and cerulean blue and some softening took
place by dipping my brush into the water jar and giving it a good shake and
then gently softened the some hard edges.
I
paint in colour around the head, notice the softness from background to hair
and the hard edges at the front of the face and ear.
The
same colour goes into her back and in certain parts I used more cerulean
blue into the mixture.
The
legs were painted in using the same mixture but made darker and where I saw
brighter colour Oput it in using pure colour.
The
finished painting.
