Markings of a butterfly using Watercolour

Markings of a butterfly with watercolour and more marks are added here and it is no good trying to be too exact and painting every mark Markings of a butterfly using watercolourexactly because you will never get them all exact, it is much better to suggest.

Just about all of the dark markings I need to put in are complete here.

More marks are added to the body and the antenna's are added with a small pointed brush.

The white edges on the butterfly's wings are made by adding the background, this will be made darker later on so these whites will stand out more.

Now the wonderful colours of the wings are added made up of yellow ochre and cadmium red and painted into the light areas. Here it doesn't matter if some of this colour goes over the darks or middle tones already put down because theses areas are now dry.
