How to paint fur

The whiskers have been painted in with quick deft strokes as have the highlights on the nose and forehead with almost pure white and more of the form has been added to the forehead with this same colour.

Here we have the finished portrait with finishing touches added all over the cat like highlights in the cats fur, eyes and paw.
