Following form with charcoal strokes

Following form with charcoal strokes and the darks of the hair are restated following the Following form with charcoal strokesform with the charcoal strokes.

Following form with charcoal strokes

Highlights are brought out with blue tac and you can mould blue tac in almost any shape or form that you like. Here there were quite a few highlights on the nose area and it also looked a little complicated so it is best to simplify small areas like this with just one or two highlights.

Here the nose has been made darker with shadows and the teeth have been laid in, you can use the pencil held vertically with say the left eye to see where the far left tooth starts.

I made an error here in that I should have laid in the tone of the teeth first before putting in the gaps of the teeth but it doesn't matter. This is one of the beauties of charcoal you can rub out quite easily.

Again using blue tac or even a putty rubber highlights were brought out from the eyes, here you could also have left white paper for the highlights.
