The final painting and here I paint in the eyeball of the left eye using a small brush and a grey white colour. In certain areas of a painting you use different size brushes, for a small area like the eyeball a small brush is used and for the background covering a large area a large one inch brush is used.
Darker paint has been painted over the wet paint to bring out the portrait a little more like the whiskers and a few more tones of colour have been added all over the portrait to make the portrait stand out more.

A few more tones and highlight are added and notice the cool background against the warmth of the face, contrast is always a good thing.
The final painting and here you can see that I left the bottom of the portrait a bit sketchy as though the portrait merges into the background and I think the boldness of the brushwork works well with Mr Ford's character.
Detail of the painting showing the roughness of the brushed strokes giving character to Harrison ford's personality.

Detail showing the bottom of the painting where I created a rough brushwork look so as to finish this area. I hope you have enjoyed this demonstration.
