Ear in charcoal and if you look at an ear you will see that it
fits nicely into
an
oval shape and the inner line of the ear doesn't follow the outer line
exactly so good observation is needed here.

Next go in the middle tones created by picking up the charcoal from
some scrap paper and using my little finger to create these tones.

More form has been added inside the ear by blending with my finger
from the darks already laid down and these areas will be restated.

Now the darks have been restated and here I'm using a white pastel to
bring out some of the highlights.

Using the charcoal pencil to define lines and to make things a bit
more accurate although it is only a basic sketch of an ear.

The finished ear and I used a putty rubber to clean up areas that
needed it and a suggestion of form around the ear has also been done.
