Drawing in coloured pencils and if you want to have
a go in drawing from this photograph right click the photograph and click save picture as and then save it onto your hard drive where you can find it. This is a young girl with pink flesh tones and with auburn hair and ribbons.
This isn't a finished drawing as such it is more akin to a sketch so everything here is sketched which means I'm not too concerned about neatness. Here just a basic oval shape has been drawn in for the whole head with an HB pencil, the hair line has been roughly indicated which is usually half way down from the top of the head to the bottom of the chin.
Here the features have been roughly drawn in using oval shapes just to indicate where the features are. Drawing in oval shapes for the features is a good and quick way to indicate them.
I am holding the pencil exactly vertical at the inner corner of the left eye to see how far the nose protrudes to the left of the pencil, this is a good way in finding the alignment of features.
Holding the pencil vertically and transferring the above measurement to the paper and then using this same technique for the right eye to see how far the right side of the nostril comes to the left corner of the right eye off the vertical.
More shape has now been added to the nose and mouth and here I'm still basically sketching them in. I am holding the pencil horizontally this time to find the angle of the eyes by holding the pencil at the top of them.
Here all the basic drawing has been put in and don't worry about extra lines that you might have made, these can be erased later.
Email me even if its just for a chat I reply to you within the
