Drawing a necklace

Shading on her neck and shoulder area have been added here and just a suggestion of her top arm.

The light is coming from the right so everything on the right side is in light and everything on the left is in shadow, highlights are brought out on her neck and shoulder area using blue tac.



 

Here I used a white pastel for the lights in the necklace and one or two other areas around the portrait.

The highest highlights were used for the bulbous part of her nose, the chin and  neck areas and that concludes this simple portrait demonstration.
