Drawing form and shape

Drawing form and shapeDrawing form and shape and as said previously this isn't a detailed finished drawing it is a sketch so keeping everything sketchy and not detailed is one of my priorities. Notice the curve or arc shape of her Drawing form and shapeshoulders, the left shoulder is at the rear while her right shoulder is much closer to us, also notice the angle of her shoulders is the same angle as her breasts.

Drawing form and shapeIn goes the shading and the sort of shading I am using here is normal diagonal shading where the strokes are going from right to left. The light is coming from the right and above so the left side of her body will be in shade.

Drawing form and shapeDetail of the bottom half of her body and you can see that the right leg is casting a shadow across her left leg and you can also see how loose my pencil strokes are here.

Drawing form and shapeWhen all the shadows have been shaded in I then go over the shadows again with darker tones to really bring out the light areas.

Drawing form and shapePausing with the darker shading for the moment I'm now concentrating on line, like with her right arm and bringing this out more by using line and also making sure the shape of this arm is right, it is the dark lines and shading that has brought out the arm here.

Drawing form and shapeThe sketch so far and most of the darker shading has been drawn in now but can you notice that the thigh of her front leg stands out too much here, it looks too light a shape, drawing in more form on the leg might tone it down a little and make it more relative to everything else in the figure.
